Louise Imogen Guiney (1861–1920), b. Boston, came to England 1889, and gained a reputation in Catholic circles as an essayist and poet. She introduced Katherine Brégy to the poetry of Hopkins (see No. 4). Her selection o (Recusant Poets, in co-operation with Fr Geoffrey Bliss SJ (see No. 19) was not published until 1938.
