ABSTRACT
The artist, through this patient education, learned to render truthfully attitude, musculature, and drapery, and their correct reciprocal relations. He examined their infinite variety and drew therefrom aesthetic effects hitherto undreamed of. But he had to make further progress and unite all these elements into one faithful yet harmonious whole.
