ABSTRACT
We have thus far considered some of the outstanding developments in the socialist movements of Great Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Russia, Belgium, Switzerland, and Czechoslovakia. The labor and socialist movement has, in addition, played a rôle of very considerable significance in a number of other countries. Of outstanding importance before the Second World War was the movement in the three Scandinavian countries—Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
