ABSTRACT
A Lthough the main purpose of our inquiry was to establish the number and character of the changes which workers had made in the labour market since the war, we were also concerned to throw such light as we could on the motives for voluntary job-changing. We therefore asked all those interviewed for their opinion of their present jobs, and asked those who had changed jobs since the war to give their reasons for leaving and taking each one.
