ABSTRACT
IN this chapter we shall attempt to describe the facilities available for the treatment and training of patients, other than those of a strictly medical or nursing nature. The information upon which our data are based were obtained largely through interviews with the relevant heads of the departments and, in the case of schools, workshops, etc., periods of observation were spent in the relevant department, which included talking informally to as many staff and patients as possible.
