ABSTRACT

The previous chapters have discussed specific therapeutic suggestions in relation to each group of reaction types or diseases. This alone is insufficient where therapy aims most efficiently to restore and maintain the good health of the individual. The interplay of forces between the patient and his environment, including the various persons who enter into the treatment, is of the utmost significance. In this chapter the personal interrelationships that occur in the therapeutic situation and certain aspects of supportive and protective care will be discussed.
