ABSTRACT

Certain tests have been devised to measure intelligence. Strictly speaking what is actually being estimated is that which our intellectual abilities enable us to do with various test situations. The concept of the nature of intelligence includes the ability to think and act in a purposeful and rational manner so that the individual may deal effectively with his environment. Thus, the ability to associate facts and recall them later (learning), reasoning, and memory are some of the abilities measured as part of intellectual functioning.
