ABSTRACT
The idea of the dynamics of gestalten finds a quite special field of application, in addition to that of the facts of the study of perception discussed above, in the “higher psychical processes”. Whereas in the “old psychology” these were treated as contrasting with perceptual processes, that is, as truly “higher” processes, the gestalt theory endeavours to deduce them from the same basic conceptions as those from which the perceptual processes are deduced.
