ABSTRACT

Dyslogia is defined as difficulty in vocal expression of ideas in speech, due to impairment of reasoning power in psychoses and feeble-mindedness. The Dyslogias constitute an important part of work in speech correction, and it is often very difficult to differentiate between a mildly neurotic or poorly adjusted personality, and one in which mental deterioration has reached an advanced stage. Because such cases are often referred to the speech pathologist or speech clinical worker, it is worth while to spend some time in reviewing the more important types of nervous disorders, in order to better understand their implications, in undertaking speech therapy.
