ABSTRACT
In this section I shall give an account of the general features which characterize the social life of animals. This science is still, unfortunately, in its infancy, and consequently what we have here to offer cannot be compared with the very substantial achievements of human sociology. Yet we can even now state various facts of very great interest from the point of view of comparative group psychology.
