ABSTRACT
What human beings become depends upon the tendencies which are born in them as well as the training which is given to them. Nature as well as nurture forms human intellect and character. To be effective, nurture or education must allow for the forces of nature. To teach boys and girls without paying heed to the equipment of instincts and capacities which they already possess apart from teaching would be as foolish as to sail a boat regardless of the direction of the wind or to build a house regardless of the material at hand.
