ABSTRACT
In psychological investigations we have frequently to determine whether certain capacities, qualities, or attributes are related to each other or whether they are independent. Thus, we may require to know whether intelligence varies concomitantly with sensory acuity or whether the variations of each capacity are unrelated to one another. We shall consider four statistical methods by which the concomitance of the variables may be tested, each being employed for some special set of data.
