ABSTRACT
Probably no one undertakes to write a non-technical account of any subject without finding that it is one fraught with particular difficulties; psychology is no exception. The difficulties, however, involved in psychology are, I believe, peculiar to it, and their enumeration may well serve as a starting-point.
