Components of Environment. The perennial question whether heredity is a more potent factor in the make-up of an individual than his environment is one which would naturally be asked with reference to character. But first of all, let us determine what elements enter into the so-called environment which might exercise its influence in modifying one’s character. It would scarcely be necessary to present a full list of these possible factors. Only several of the most important will be dwelt on here.
