ABSTRACT
BEFORE proceeding further it is essential to come to some agreement as to the meaning of the term conversion. It is frequently employed not only in theology, but in logic (‘the conversion of propositions’), in arithmetic, and in finance. A few remarks are therefore necessary, in order to avoid the risk of introducing an equivocal term into modern psychology.
