Psychodynamic Assessment and its Bearing on the Validity of Brief Psychotherapy

It is of course true that, if a worker approaches data of any kind from a particular theoretical standpoint, he will tend to emphasize those aspects that fit in with his theory, perhaps to the exclusion of other aspects equally important. Very probably these patients might appear quite different through the eyes of other psychoanalysts, let alone through the eyes of psychotherapists of a completely different school.
