ABSTRACT
Some of the implications of New Technology are very much practical rather than theoretical, though theory informs this practice. McLuhan’s war cry of ‘the medium is the message’ is a good place to start along with Postman’s famous analogy:
To a man with a pencil, everything looks like a list.
To a man with a camera, everything looks like an image.
To a man with a computer, everything looks like data.
