To conform to the logic of Communication Studies these behavioural materials can only be fully understood in their contexts, in their particular sites of interaction. In his book Interpersonal Communication Peter Hartley provides a vigorous and useful analysis of specific context by providing a set of questions and some prompts for how to start finding answers.
