ABSTRACT
These ratios as well as the horse-power per worker show a wide range of variation among manufactures, but it was found that the same industry will in both countries usually have a similar technological rank. For instance, though the general level of mechanization is higher in America, any one industry will tend to have the same relative position in degree of mechanization among British and among American industries.
