ABSTRACT
This book deals mainly with facts and generalizations from facts, but links them by argument relevant to practical problems in western civilization to-day. These problems revolve round the efficient full employment of labour in a more or less free market system of economy. The argument is largely about the conditions (including comparative wages) underlying industrial efficiency and maximum production from various labour resources at least cost.
