ABSTRACT

I N A SYMPOSIULM on primitive man and Pleistocene stratigraphy in the Medi-terranean basin, held at Burg Wartenstein in 1960, I offered a picture of the evolution of the Moroccan Paleolithic within the framework of the Atlantic Pleistocene. In it, I summarized the chronology established by geographers, geologists, and prehistorians on the morphological, stratigraphic, and paleontological data, in order to incorporate with them certain archaeological discoveries (Biberson 1960a).
