ABSTRACT
This chapter contains an analysis of the development of one neighbourhood, which I call Akudiet. There are two reasons for undertaking such an analysis. The first is to illustrate the actual operations of the fields of social relations that were described in the preceding chapters. The second is to determine in what way, other than as a system of ideals and values, the neighbourhood can be examined as a social grouping.
