ABSTRACT

By far the richest material for the history of thirteenth- to fifteenth-century prices is to be found in England. It was first investigated by Rogers; Gras and Beveridge contributed further reports and ideas; still later Farmer made a study of thirteenth-century prices (1957–8:207f.); and more recently Farmer’s work has been supplemented by Titow (1959–60; 1970:312ff.).
