ABSTRACT

Within the agrindus, as within every other framework of human activity, social, economic and political factors will operate. Any attempt to divide it up into its components inevitably prevents us from seeing it in the round, as an entity. Nevertheless we shall now analyse the diverse economic forces and considerations promoting the creation and development of the agrindus, as we have concentrated throughout this volume mainly on the social aspect. Isolation of the economic from the socio-political factors will enable us to foresee certain problems of the economic processes of the agrindus and to outline possible solutions. However, in every stage of our analysis we must constantly bear in mind the operation and the importance of the social forces in shaping the solutions we have to offer. Thereby we can ensure that our suggestions will be of a harmonious and therefore practical character.
