ABSTRACT
This book is essentially and inevitably a composer's view about singers. This chapter uniquely attempts to view some of the problems and benefits of the collaboration from a singer's point of view. I have asked a number of singers a series of questions in relation to working with composers. It is hoped that their comments will prevent composers about to embark on collaborations to have to reinvent the wheel, as well as avoid falling into too many overpopulated pits.
