ABSTRACT
This chapter presents some workshop outlines and proposals, with the aim of developing creative collaborations between composers and singers in educational institutions. There are a number of ways that singers and composers may be brought together to work: through composer and ensemble residence programs; out-reach programs of festivals, theaters, and concert halls; initiatives by schools, colleges, and universities. Because age and ability may vary greatly, this chapter offers general suggestions and objectives for projects within a course or program. It is left to the teacher to adapt the ideas to his or her particular students' needs, abilities, and situation.
