ABSTRACT
In recent years the Veneto region of northern Italy, the landscape of Palladio, has enjoyed enormous prosperity. In this still predominantly agricultural setting there has been a quiet industrial revolution. Numerous factories have grown up around the historic cities, such as Padua, Treviso and Vicenza, and along the transportation links.
