ABSTRACT
The Arena 2020 project is a conceptual mixed-use development that explores the concept of a major sports leisure facility as a nucleus for urban regeneration and revitalisation. As previous developments of this nature tend to tear unsustainable holes in cities and isolate themselves from their surrounds, 2020 seeks to establish links, open up new opportunities and provide a seed for the renewal process.
