ABSTRACT

A study by Black (663) uses a value of 0.21 and 4.9 X 10'5 accidental man-days lost and deaths, respectively, for construction. The total is then 0.21 + 4.9 X 10’5 X 6000 = 0.50 man-days lost/MW-yr.

The highest occupational risk of Table C-2 comes from gathering and handling fuel. Overall, the number of man-days lost is low.
