ABSTRACT
The scope of our study is the internationalization of capital and its impact on women in an industrializing country in Southeast Asia. More precisely, we are studying Norwegian industry employing rural, Malay women. The problem is in general terms, how the availability of industrial work brings about social and economic changes which affect women’s lives and livelihoods.
