ABSTRACT
ʿAlī sought the hand in marriage of Bint Abū Jahl. Fāṭima 1 heard about this, so she went to the Prophet and she said to him: “Your people assert that you are not angry for the sake of your daughters in view of the fact that ʿAlī is going to marry Bint Abū Jahl!”
