ABSTRACT
The two states of Qatar and Bahrain have not been able to delimit their maritime boundaries in the waters separating them. The problem which prevents delimitation of these boundaries is complex involving a number of islands, shoals (fashts), and the district of Zubarah in Qatar to which Bahrain lays claim.
