ABSTRACT
During an intensive ascetic training period in the summer of 1987 Ōuchi Sanae described how she saw various emissions of light and sensed the awakening of her astral body. 1 She felt numerous channels of spiritual energy opening within her body and, in a moment of profound spiritual awakening, she realised that within her dwelt the power of the buddhas, and that ‘the guru is the truth’ (guru wa shinri desu). 2
