ABSTRACT
“O ver twenty years ago I had wanted to have my daughter christened in the Orthodox church but my parents had been opposed to the idea because of the influence of Communism. Now we have freedom of religion, so two years ago my daughter and her husband themselves chose to be baptised in an Orthodox church. Having already been married by a State ceremony, they are now saving up to have a church wedding too.”
