ABSTRACT

Analysis of Kārikāvalī and Muktāvalī: Kārikās 66cd and 67a describe the process of inferential knowledge: first of all it is mentioned that knowledge of invariable concomitance is the instrumental cause of inferential knowledge and consideration is its operation. M. first describes the process of cognizing the invariable concomitance and then points out the manner in which consideration arises by means of an example. (Text 1A,p.61, ln 3 —p.62, ln 2)
