ABSTRACT
As a ruler, Timur had two examples of statesmanship he could use as a model, the Mongol and the Muslim. Timur was a Muslim, but he also was an admirer of Chingiz Khan. He had a charismatic personality and independent viewpoints on the craft of governing. His attitude to the Jews was made up of these three components, the Mongol, the Muslim, and his personal beliefs.
