ABSTRACT
Through all the changes, in wealth and the potentials of life, which have come to Bahrain in the twentieth century, the shapes and patterns of traditional life have persisted. Some customs have died out, it is true, but others have shown astonishing resilience in the face of the challenges from the modern world.
