ABSTRACT
Initially, the task of managing the project was divided amongst Lonrho’s office in London, Kenana’s office in Khartoum and a circle of huts on site. One of management’s most difficult tasks was to keep the different aspects of work in step with each other so that the factory could start operating on schedule in 1978.
