ABSTRACT

Having accompanied the expedition, the proceedings of which have been related in Mr. Laird’s journal, to the period of the departure of the two steam-vessels up the Nun, the few remarks I might have to make on our passage out have been principally anticipated by that gentleman. I may briefly state, that my appointment as junior surgeon to the party took place at Liverpool, and that I had scarcely arrived on the coast in the Alburkah when my professional services were put in requisition by the effects of the climate.
