WHILE doing our best to prosecute our mission work among the Wanika, we did not forget other peoples; we were anxious, if possible, to extend our operations. Our mission had been originated with the view of doing something for the Gallas ; and to that people, therefore, we turned our attention as soon as circumstances would permit. Mr. Wakefield made atrip to Chaffa in 1865; an account of which was published in a pamphlet entitled “ Footprints in Eastern Africa”
