ABSTRACT

Note.—When du Parquet was Seigneur Proprietor of Martinique he gave the property of “Fond St. Jacques” to the Jacobins, but left a space of rather over 200 yards between their boundary and a portion of land known as St. Marie which he reserved for himself. This vacant strip was later on ceded to a man called St. Aubin. This man had encroached on the properties on either side of him and then obtained possession of these fields by a trick.
