ABSTRACT

AFTER idling pleasantly about Normandy, the North» woods took up their quarters in Paris for a time. Then they found their way to Macon for no other reason than that the Captain took it into his head to go there to buy a stock of Burgundy for his cellars in Singapore. The Macon district was found to be a land of plenty, brimming over with good wine and good things in general, and a smiling country withal.
