ABSTRACT
It cannnot be doubted that the duration of society, or the communion of human beings with each other, will be as lengthened as the existence of man; and that a social system may be devised and established, containing the requisites considered, and productive of the good effects desired, is apparent even from so much of the nature and power of man as the present system brings into view.
