The Experience of Organizing the Rear of the Crimean Front (January–May 1942)

The assault operation of Transcaucasus front forces into Feodosiia and on the Kerch' Peninsula, conducted at the end of December 1941, is one of the largest and most successful. This operation is a very instructive example of cooperation between ground forces and the Navy. The enormous and basically positive experience of the Kerch'-Feodosiia Assault Operation should be studied by combined arms and naval commanders.
