ABSTRACT
THE Nili movement, which worked for the next eight months under the very noses of the Turks and Germans, gathered the information which was to seal their doom in Palestine—this movement was as spontaneous as its name. There never was any formal organization, programme or procedure. It developed of itself, out of the needs of the time and the opportunities found by its members for fulfilling those needs.
