ABSTRACT

AARON drew around him a small group of young and devoted disciples to work with him at the Station. One of these young people, most beloved of Aaron, was himself great of mind and vision. This was Absalom Feinberg. Absalom was a hero straight out of a romance—tall, handsome, ardent, a writer of poetry, a lover of music; wise, witty, a crack shot, a dashing horseman, and so fearless that the Arabs had adopted him as their own, giving him the name of Sheikh Salim.
