ABSTRACT
Jochen Clasen is Professor of Comparative Social Research in the Department of Applied Social Science at the University of Stirling. He is co-author of Voices Within and Without. Responses to Long-Term Unemployment in Germany, Sweden and Britain (with A. Gould and J. Vincent, 1998), and editor of Social Insurance in Europe (1997) and Comparative Social Policy: Concepts, Theories and Methods (1999).
