ABSTRACT
That King Cyprian had acknowledged the primary cause of his debility, his drinking, was proof of his honesty and courage. He had sincerely meant to stop drinking, and had made a brave attempt to do so more than four years earlier. As a diabetic, and with the serious lesion on his diaphragm, to drink was, in effect, to kill himself.
