ABSTRACT

This chapter provides some important security information about the computer. Computer holds valuable data, or at least it will do when user have studied this volume and applied his new knowledge to daily work. It suggests locking the computer to the wall with security cable, fitting security locks throughout users building, surrounding the building with a 10-foot steel fence and half-starved rotweilers, and installing automatic guns. Also suggests to backup users files onto floppy disks or other media which can be removed from the vicinity of computer and locked away. Defining a password for the computer is preventing anyone else from starting it up and looking at the files, and also defines a password for each individual file. It suggests locking up the user computer. Most computer cases have a security slot this enables the machine to be locked to the wall or substantial piece of furniture with a security cable or chain.
