ABSTRACT

Our society generally views caring as a woman's natural role. Women are often expected to provide care when relatives or children are sick, despite other commitments they may have. This chapter looks at issues for women generally, whether they themselves are HIV infected or not, since women are often the carers of people with any illness, and HIV/AIDS is no exception.
